Mark - biography
Mark isn't so much a DJ as he is a geek. He likes to create projects that are fun and easy for everyone to use, like is Music for example. In the beginning of 2009, Oscar was looking for someone who could help him maintain is Music. Through Kris Redding we got in touch. Oscar explained the idea of is Music and the fact that he wanted to create a place on the internet where people can easily share music with each other either for free or a fair amount of money, allured me.
So I decided to jump in. To this date we have brought is Music from a small community to something that is still as personal as it used to be (perhaps even more) but gets better and better every time we perform an update. The amount of mixtapes that are uploaded by DJ's. The amount of downloads we register from all kinds of different sources. The amount of comments people make to someone's DJ profile, mixtape or show. Everything is going up, and that's how we like to see it.
We're not only trying to create a website where you can easily share mixtapes with the rest of the world. No. We're trying to create a website that is your business card on the web, something you can use to show people you know what you're doing and that you're a professional. And finally, let's not forget the fact that we're a community of DJ's to share not only music, but also experiences, knowledge and fun.
